About a week before my sister’s birthday (September 27), I found out Jeremy was going to be working at a remote site over the weekend.  I decided to pack the car and Lilly, our dog, and head North to Fairbanks.  I was going to surprise my sister for her birthday celebration.  Her birthday fell on a Thursday this year, so the family planned to celebrate together on Saturday night.

On Friday night my brother, Tyler, and I decided to pay her a surprise visit at her house.  I think she was surprised!  We stayed up late chatting and catching up.  Saturday night our family and friends, a total of about 15 of us, went to the Silver Gulch Brewery for dinner and drinks.  It was really poor service, but great food and company!  It was a blast!

Although, it’s a 10-hour drive each way to Fairbanks from Kenai, it was well worth it!  It was great to see everyone and I can’t wait until we come up again during Thanksgiving.

 Love you guys!

It looks like you had a lot of fun…. It makes me miss my sister (but I’ll be seeing her next week, so I guess I won’t have to miss her for much longer. ha ha).
